Rreth 20 persona, disa t\u00eb armatosur me shkopinj druri, hyn\u00eb me forc\u00eb n\u00eb oborrin e muzeut t\u00eb diel\u00ebn, nd\u00ebrsa po zhvillohej nj\u00eb aktivitet i mbyllur p\u00ebr donator\u00eb dhe ambasador\u00eb. T\u00eb ftuarit u detyruan t\u00eb strehoheshin brenda godin\u00ebs.<\/span><\/p>\n

N\u00eb nj\u00eb njoftim n\u00eb Instagram, drejtuesit e MOWAA than\u00eb: \u201cN\u00ebse kishit planifikuar t\u00eb udh\u00ebtoni drejt Benin City p\u00ebr jav\u00ebn e hapjes s\u00eb MOWAA-s, ju lutemi pezulloni planet tuaja.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Incidenti ndodhi pak dit\u00eb pasi dhjet\u00ebra protestues u mblodh\u00ebn p\u00ebrpara parlamentit t\u00eb shtetit Edo p\u00ebr t\u00eb kund\u00ebrshtuar hapjen e muzeut, q\u00eb ka ndezur tensione politike q\u00eb nga nisja e projektit pes\u00eb vite m\u00eb par\u00eb.<\/span><\/p>\n

MOWAA, me nj\u00eb kosto rreth 25 milion\u00eb dollar\u00eb, \u00ebsht\u00eb projektuar p\u00ebr t\u00eb ruajtur dhe promovuar trash\u00ebgimin\u00eb artistike t\u00eb Afrik\u00ebs Per\u00ebndimore, duke p\u00ebrfshir\u00eb hap\u00ebsira ekspozuese, arkiva dhe rezidenca p\u00ebr artist\u00eb vendas. Projekti mb\u00ebshtetet nga qeverit\u00eb e Gjermanis\u00eb, Franc\u00ebs dhe Danimark\u00ebs, si edhe nga institucione si British Museum, Getty Foundation dhe Ford Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kontroversia lidhet me pron\u00ebsin\u00eb e artefakteve t\u00eb famshme \u201cBenin Bronzes\u201d, t\u00eb grabitura nga ushtria britanike n\u00eb shekullin XIX n\u00eb Mbret\u00ebrin\u00eb e dikurshme t\u00eb Beninit (n\u00eb territorin e sot\u00ebm t\u00eb Nigeris\u00eb).<\/span>
N\u00eb vitin 2023, ish-presidenti Muhammadu Buhari shpalli se k\u00ebto artefakte i p\u00ebrkasin Obas Ewuare II, sundimtarit tradicional t\u00eb Beninit, dhe se \u00e7do objekt i kthyer nga per\u00ebndimi duhet t\u2019i dor\u00ebzohet atij.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fillimisht MOWAA ishte parashikuar t\u00eb strehonte \u201cBenin Bronzes\u201d, por muzeu e hoqi k\u00ebt\u00eb plan pas reagimeve t\u00eb Obas dhe mb\u00ebshtet\u00ebsve t\u00eb tij, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt e shohin muzeun si p\u00ebrpjekje p\u00ebr t\u2019i larguar artefaktet nga pronari legjitim.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ministrja e Kultur\u00ebs s\u00eb Nigeris\u00eb, Hannatu Musa Musawa, d\u00ebnoi incidentin, duke e cil\u00ebsuar \u201cnj\u00eb k\u00ebrc\u00ebnim ndaj nj\u00eb pasurie t\u00eb \u00e7muar kulturore dhe ndaj mjedisit t\u00eb nevojsh\u00ebm p\u00ebr shk\u00ebmbim artistik\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
