
A fire was recorded today in the urban waste disposal area in Vlora, where the flames engulfed a significant part of the area.
Initially, the causes of the fire remained unclear, while authorities launched investigations to determine whether it was caused by high temperatures or as a result of deliberate action.
Immediately after the alarm was raised, firefighters intervened on the scene, conducting a several-hour operation to isolate and extinguish the flames. Thanks to intensive intervention and the use of special equipment, the fire was brought under control in the evening hours.
Thick smoke and flames caused concern among residents of surrounding areas, while emergency crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the waste field and surrounding areas.
Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the exact cause of the fire, while the situation is currently reported to be under control.
