The 12-day period for registering voters abroad for the June 7 elections will end at midnight. The Central Election Commission's records show that as of this morning, over 117 registration requests have been received, of which around 100 have been accepted, while 7 have been rejected and over 10 are awaiting review.
"Tonight at midnight, on May 17, the 12-day period for the registration of voters outside Kosovo will end. During this period, at the moment of registration, voters were able to individually determine the method of voting, either to vote physically at one of the diplomatic missions or to vote by mail," said Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the CEC.
The largest number of voters, over 76 thousand, according to the Central Election Commission, have chosen to vote by mail, while about 23 thousand others physically cast their votes at embassies or consulates.
The countries with the largest number of registered voters are: Germany, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Austria, Britain and other countries, writes RTK.
Kosovo citizens who are abroad on election day, June 7, will also have the opportunity to vote.
The Central Election Commission has enabled these citizens to register during the period for voter registration outside Kosovo, which began on May 6 and will end today, May 17. The registration procedure is the same as that for voter registration outside Kosovo.
