Pristina hosts the first Italy-Kosovo Agri-Food Forum 2026

On May 19, in Pristina, under the patronage of the Government of Kosovo, the "First Italy-Kosovo Agri-Food Forum 2026" will be held, an important event that will bring together institutions, businesses and economic operators from Italy and Kosovo, with the aim of strengthening trade cooperation in the agri-food sector.

The forum aims to create structured and long-term relationships between the Italian agri-food system and the Kosovar market, providing a platform for dialogue and concrete cooperation between the two countries.

This initiative comes as a result of the cooperation between the Embassy of Kosovo in Rome and the Italian Association of Growers (AIC), which is also the main organizer of the forum and is committed to promoting agricultural chains and “Made in Italy” products in international markets. Kosovar institutions are also involved in this project, making the cooperation a strategic element for economic development.

AICO will also make a special contribution to this forum, which will address issues related to consumer protection, food safety and accurate product information. In cooperation with the Government of Kosovo and Kosovo Customs, control mechanisms for incoming products and exports will be discussed, writes RTK.

Within the framework of the forum, specific workshops will be organized on labeling, traceability and compliance with regulatory standards, key elements for the export of agri-food products and building sustainable trade relationships.

The opening of this forum is expected to be attended by the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, the acting Minister of Agriculture, Armend Muja, the Kosovo Ambassador to Italy, Nita Shala, and the Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Maurizio Antonini.

Also part of the forum will be Nicola Caputo, advisor for export and internationalization of the agri-food chain at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of AIC and experts in international economics and trade.
