IDF strikes around 100 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, militant group fires drones and mortars at Israel

The Israeli military said it had struck about 100 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon over the weekend, including observation posts, military infrastructure and weapons depots.

According to the IDF, other attacks were also carried out on Friday against Hezbollah facilities in the Tyre area, in southern Lebanon, reports JP.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has fired several projectiles into Israeli territory over the past 24 hours, including explosive-laden drones and mortar shells.

The Israeli military said the shells fell near areas where Israeli troops operate and did not activate alarm sirens in Israeli territory.

In another statement, the IDF said it had killed two Hezbollah fighters, who the Israeli military said were in a building near where rockets were fired at Israeli troops in southern Lebanon.

After striking the facility, the military reported secondary explosions, claiming they indicated the presence of weapons and ammunition inside the building.

According to the IDF, all rockets fired at Israeli forces fell in open areas and no soldiers were injured.

The Israeli military also said it discovered another Hezbollah weapons depot in southern Lebanon, where missile warheads, ammunition, bulletproof vests, helmets and weapon parts were seized.
