Democratic MP Igli Cara emphasized today that the Democratic Party has long denounced the problem with the two buildings of the "Durrës Marina" project, but it has been ignored.
He said that the scandal with the two buildings in question was not caused by geological studies by two well-known international companies. According to the latter, the area is not suitable for construction and to ensure stability, intervention with piles was necessary.
"Our denunciations based on concrete facts were ignored. From the beginning of this project, we have spoken about two geological and geomorphological studies conducted by renowned international companies, the Italian company Technital and the German company Sellhorn. These studies have shown that the area does not present usual construction conditions and that, to guarantee the structural stability and bearing capacity of the buildings, the use of piles with a diameter of about 1.5 meters and a depth of up to 45 meters has been designed." Cara said.
