Shakira to sing the official song of the 2026 World Cup



Colombian singer Shakira has released a new snippet of the song "Dai Dai", which has been announced as the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. DW.

In a video shared on social media, Shakira appears at the legendary Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro, holding the official tournament ball "Trionda" and performing alongside Nigerian artist Burna Boy.

The song includes verses in English and an energetic chorus with the phrase "Dai, dai, we go, dale, ale, let's go", which combines expressions from Italian and Spanish.

The clip also features dancers dressed in the colors of the national teams participating in the tournament, while the video concludes with the message "We're ready!".

The song "Dai Dai" is expected to be officially released on May 14. Shakira, who is known for the hit "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" from the 2010 World Cup, has previously been part of the tournament's final ceremonies in 2006 and 2014.

The 2026 World Cup will start on June 11, 2026.
