
Tributes were held in Pristina in honor of Martyrs' Day, where representatives of institutions and political parties honored the figures who fell for the country's freedom.
In front of the statue of Zahir Pajaziti in Pristina, as part of the celebration of Martyrs' Day, the Speaker of the Parliament, also acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, and the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, paid homage. They laid wreaths and honored the sacrifice of the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of the country.
Acting President Albulena Haxhiu has praised Zahir Pajaziti and his comrades as key figures in the organized resistance against the then regime, emphasizing their courage and determination in difficult circumstances for the country, writes RTK.
"Their contribution was not only a guerrilla, military or professional contribution, but it was also a moral contribution due to the fact that they raised the hope that our country could have freedom, could be liberated and could be independent," she declared.
PDK deputies and members have also paid tribute.
Earlier, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, commemorated the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for freedom, emphasizing the importance of preserving historical memory.
