A serious incident occurred in Kosovo today (April 16)
A fire engulfed an apartment in Malisheva, where members of a family were staying, according to initial reports.
The media reports that so far there have been 3 victims due to asphyxiation, a man and two children (the father and his children are suspected).
Kosovo Police also announced the first details of the event and the dynamics.
"Today, at around 12:55, we were notified of a fire incident in an apartment in the "Mirëdita" neighborhood, in Malisheva. Immediately after receiving the information, the competent police units, firefighters and emergency teams arrived at the scene. Three male persons (one adult and two children) were found in this apartment, who were taken to the Family Medicine Center in Malisheva, where it was determined that they were without signs of life. The fire has been localized and no other consequences have been reported. The state prosecutor has also been notified of the case and all necessary investigative actions are currently being taken to clarify the circumstances and causes of this event."", said Police spokesman, Sheremet Elezaj
Kosovo media reports that "a father and two children are suspected of having died after a fire engulfed their space in a collective apartment in Malisheva."
The father is 35 years old while the two children are minors, 9 and 12 years old.
The details of the incident are expected to be further clarified by the Kosovo authorities, but an accident is initially suspected.
