The Police Supervision Agency has implemented an order from the Dibër Prosecutor's Office, which has imposed personal security measures against two police officers, suspected of "abuse of duty".
The measures imposed include suspension from duty and a ban on leaving the country, in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code. Two inspectors with the initials DS are involved: one part of the urban and interurban traffic service at the Dibër Local Police Directorate, and the other effective public order at the Bulqizë Police Commissariat.
The decision comes within the framework of a criminal proceeding registered during 2026, related to an event that occurred on March 10 in the city of Bulqiza, where three citizens were seriously injured. Preliminary investigations have shown that police officers have not properly implemented the functional obligations arising from the law on the State Police.
Authorities indicate that investigations are still ongoing, with the aim of fully clarifying the circumstances and verifying the possible involvement of other persons in this matter.

From the in-depth investigative actions, it resulted that these police officers did not fulfill their functional duties in accordance with the Law on State Police.
Investigations are ongoing to fully document the incident and the possible involvement of other employees.”
