Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, stated that there is no room for panic following statements by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding military cooperation between Albania, Kosovo and Croatia.
After the Council of Ministers meeting, Nufi emphasized that Albania acts in full compliance with its obligations to NATO and that the country's security is guaranteed by this alliance.
"Albania's strategic policies are in line with the alliance it is part of, NATO, the strongest in the world. All doctrine and preparation is in line with NATO", said the minister.
He added that Kosovo's security is also supported by the presence of international forces, referring to KFOR, which guarantees stability in the region.
According to Nufi, the statements and tensions coming from the region should be interpreted carefully, as Albania follows a coordinated approach with international partners.
"Concerns that may be perceived through the media or replicas in the region are translated into an approach that is in coordination with the alliance and partners; this makes us feel safe", he stressed.
