Vjosa Osmani has demanded that the President of the Republic of Kosovo be elected directly by the people.
Through a post on social media, Osmani announced that he has submitted to the Assembly a request for constitutional changes, for the direct election of the President of Kosovo by popular vote.
While saying that this request comes after successive failures to elect the President, Osmani invited all political entities in Kosovo to vote for the changes in the Assembly.

FAIR ELECTIONS FOR PRESIDENT!
Given the successive failures in electing the President, I have just submitted to the Assembly the constitutional amendments for direct elections of the President, which were drafted by the Constitutional Amendment Commission in 2011.
I invite all political parties to vote for these constitutional amendments.
From now on, let the people speak!
