Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted harshly to Iran's latest attack on Azerbaijani territory, which hit civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan region and injured citizens.
In a post on X, Rama described this attack as another serious and unacceptable act of aggression by the Khomeiniist Republic of Iran against neighboring countries, which, according to him, have nothing "wrong" except that they shine on the international stage through development, prosperity and openness, improving the lives of their people every day, while presenting Iran as darker and blinder under its satanic regime.
Rama emphasizes that Azerbaijan is a valued friend and ally of Albania, a country that has achieved much since regaining independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Azerbaijan's independence, stability and commitment to development, along with its readiness for cooperation and open arms towards all, have earned the respect of many countries around the world.
Rama emphasizes that when the civilian infrastructure of other countries is attacked and their sovereignty is violated, the line between aggression and terrorism disappears.
For this reason, according to him, the time has come for all states and institutions that believe in stability, a rules-based international order, and peaceful coexistence, not only to distance themselves from a regime that spreads violence and intimidation beyond its borders, but to agree on what it truly is: a Terrorist State.
Rama's post on X:
The attack launched against the territory of Azerbaijan, hitting civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan region and injuring citizens, is another grave and unacceptable act of aggression by the Khomeiniist Republic of Iran against neighboring countries, which have only the "mistake" of shining on the world stage through development, prosperity and openness, improving the lives of their peoples every day and making Iran look even darker and blinder under its satanic regime.
Azerbaijan is a valued friend and ally of Albania, a country that has risen to prominence since regaining independence from the Soviet Union. Its national independence, stability, and commitment to development, along with its willingness for moderation and open arms for cooperation with all, have earned the respect of many countries in the world.
The Azerbaijani people, as well as the people of other countries that have been senselessly attacked in recent days, deserve only respect, security, and freedom from intimidation. Any attempt by the evil regime in Tehran to terrorize the civilian population or destabilize neighboring peaceful countries to provoke them against the US and Israel's just response to the Khomeini Republic should not only be clearly condemned, but should also serve as another reason to completely isolate that regime from every part of the world.
When the civilian infrastructure of other countries is targeted and their sovereignty violated, the line between aggression and terrorism disappears. That is why it is time for all states and institutions that believe in stability, in a rules-based international order and in peaceful coexistence, not only to distance themselves from a regime that spreads violence and intimidation beyond its borders, but also to agree on what it really is: a Terrorist State.
We stand firmly with Azerbaijan, its strong leadership and its proud people. The way forward must be clear: the aggressors must be isolated and the aggressors must be unequivocally punished. Those who choose the path of violence must be confronted with the growing unity of those who choose peace.
