Canadian police confirmed ten dead and at least 35 injured after a mass shooting at Tumbler Ridge High School. The gunman, who also killed himself, was identified by a close family member as Jesse Strang, a transgender person who used the pronouns 'she/her'.
The Chief Superintendent of the Northern District, Ken Floyd, stated: “This was a situation that developed quickly and dynamically, and the collaboration of the school, first responders and the community played a critical role in our response. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims.”
According to the aggressor's uncle, Jesse Strang began identifying as a woman around 2023. He came from a family that valued hunting and had learned to hunt from a young age, writes Hungarianconservative.

Strang allegedly kept several firearms at home, while a YouTube account associated with him displayed a transgender flag and an SKS rifle. His mother reported that he had behavioral problems and violent tendencies from an early age.
Footage posted online shows Strang shooting guns at the range and posting his experiences on gun forums.
Later, the aggressor's manifesto showed remorse regarding his transition, expressing regret and a desire not to pursue the transgender process.
