Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, said that the uranium enrichment process carried out by Tehran "will never stop," reports Anatolia.
According to The Hill newspaper, Iravani praised Iran's uranium enrichment program during his guest appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation."
Referring to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Iravani stressed that countries without nuclear weapons have the right to use peaceful nuclear technologies, including uranium enrichment, provided they comply with certain rules.
He drew attention to the fact that the uranium enrichment program is Iran's right. "Enrichment is our right, it is an inalienable right and we want to implement this right," the Iranian representative said.
"I think uranium enrichment will never stop."", Iravan said when asked by a reporter if Iran plans to enrich uranium.
