Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a visit to Kukës, stated that the region aims to turn into a tourist destination with 1 million visitors by 2030.
He emphasized that the European Union has opened its doors to Albania and that the country must fulfill its obligations to benefit from this historic moment.
"Skanderbeg determined that the land of Albania is in the West and not in the East. Even the Renaissance people said that for us Albanians, the sun rises from where it sets," said Rama.
He added that ""The train of history has passed before our eyes and we must not lose it again."
The head of government called on citizens not to vote like fans, but with their minds, to avoid going backwards.
"Don't vote for the swamp and don't leave Kukës in a difficult situation. We want to give every child a European passport," he declared.
