Terrorist attack in Syria, 14 killed

At least 14 people were killed and 15 others injured in a terrorist attack in Aleppo, Syria, on Monday. A vehicle packed with explosives exploded at the southern entrance to the Manbij neighborhood, which is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but local security forces said it could have been carried out by the Kurdish PKK/YPG terrorist organization.

The SNA liberated Manbij from terrorists in December 2024 as part of Operation Freedom Dawn.

Since the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, the terrorist group has attempted to exploit regional instability to create a "terror corridor" along the border with Turkey.
