
At the Memorial Hospital of Fier, an emergency operation for thrombectomy, to remove clotted blood from the arteries of the brain, was performed for the first time.
The collaboration of a group of doctors from the multidisciplinary team of this public hospital made possible this intervention that is considered lifesaving for patients by restoring normal blood flow to the brain and minimizing neurological damage.
The Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, thanked the doctors for this added service in the public hospital, an effect of the implementation of managerial autonomy.
