US President Joe Biden has re-nominated David J. Kostelancik for ambassador to Albania a few days after his candidacy was rejected by the US Senate.
"David J. Kostelancik, of Illinois, Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Minister-Counselor Grade, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Albania", it is stated in the announcement White House.
Kostelancik was proposed as US ambassador to Tirana by US President Joe Biden in January 2023.
He would replace former ambassador Yuri Kim, who left after the end of her mandate.
