Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha harshly attacked Prime Minister Edi Rama and Judge Irena Gjoka and other members of the justice system, regarding the case for which he is being investigated.
He said that in no case did he favor his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, who is behind bars for the 'Partizani' case.
"Many days ago, I promised that I will turn the ugly political process of Edi Rama into the public trial of the century against the person who, in the history of Albania, appears to be the most dangerous person after Enver Hoxha.
I do not intend to base Edi Rama's public trial on epithets, because Lana would be filled with them if we enter that field.
I intend to base it only on indisputable facts, on laws and decisions, which give the most comprehensive answer to the ugly political act of Edi Rama and his laras, Kraja, Millonai, Gjoka.

This agency, with an admirable job, according to the files, managed with 53.775 decisions from 2006 to 2012, to return 1 billion and 16 million square meters to the Albanians.

So, this agency, in 6 years, with 53.775 decisions, returned or compensated the Albanian owners with 1 billion 577 million 400 thousand square meters. Of which, the enemy of the people, Jamarbër Malltezi, in accordance with all official documents, received 140 square meters. Is there any human mind, apart from Edi Rama, who can imagine that 1.577.400.000 square meters were returned to the Albanians in accordance with the laws? Who would have imagined that the laws, that the decisions for the return of 1.577.400.000 square meters, were aimed at favoring one of the hundreds and thousands of owners, who had a total of 140 square meters of family heritage in this amount.

Berisha said that he would give Rama a public trial with facts.
"The land that I mentioned above, of 1.577.400.000 square meters, is agricultural land, it is land, it is pasture, it is forest and it is mixed. Now let's go back to the plot of land, converted into square meters.
During the years 2006-2012, the property restitution and compensation agency, created with the changes in the law on property restitution and compensation, returned 54.220.000 square meters of land to the Albanians. So, in total, the owners received from this agency the documents for 119.120.000 square meters of land. In these 119 million and 120 thousand square meters, there are also 140 square meters of Jamarbër Malltez, inheritance with all the official documents from his family, land confiscated 60 years ago by the communist regime and returned during these years.
Again, I pose the question: is there a human mind that can claim that the property laws, that the ownership reform, that the change of institutions was made to favor Jamarbër Malltez? So, about 120 million square meters of land were compensated for Jamarbër Malltezi to get 140 square meters of land. Yes, there is such a mind, and this mind is a great danger. I guarantee you for every Albanian. Therefore, here in front of you, I have decided to give him a public trial, not with statements, but with concrete facts that prove that this gentleman will not stop before any crime or self-abasement, just to save his own skin. Don't forget that today he is in a political prison, a political prisoner, that out of 119.120.000 land, he got 140 square meters of his own, while in fact this is, together with the Begeja family, not even 8 percent of their properties . But that's another account.
