The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes in DVP Tirana, in cooperation with Police Station No. 3, starting from several reports about a citizen who was circulating in various commercial entities, suspected counterfeit banknotes, after a real investigative work of several weeks, organized and successfully completed the coded police operation "Dollars".
As part of this operation, the citizen FA, 37 years old, was arrested for the criminal offenses of "Forgery of coins" and "Fraud". This citizen is suspected of having repeatedly put into circulation, through various commercial entities, in Tirana, 100 dollar banknotes. As material evidence, 100 dollar banknotes, suspected to be counterfeit, were seized.
The work continues for the complete documentation of the criminal activity of this citizen. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions."
