The invitation to Berisha ruins the celebration of the Embassy of Kosovo in Tirana

The Embassy of Kosovo in Tirana organized on February 15 its official reception on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of independence.

What stood out during the reception was the absence of many ambassadors from the West in Tirana and important Albanian politicians, except for the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, who would then leave for an official visit to Kosovo.

Such a protocol has never been seen during these 15 years. And the cause seems to have been the Embassy protocol itself.

Under the instructions of Minister Gërvalla, Kosovo's ambassador to Tirana, Skënder Durmishi, has made it widely known that unlike other Western embassies, he has invited Sali Berisha to a reception, as the leader of the Democratic Party and the Albanian opposition.

This, however, has caused reactions among many Western diplomats in Tirana, who do not want to have contact with Berisha. Especially this, as far as the American Embassy is concerned, a place where Berisha is defined as undesirable by the State Department (non grata).

In anticipation, the US embassy was absent, an unprecedented thing in the history of America's relations with Kosovo.

Furthermore, many ambassadors from the West were absent, except for those of Germany, Austria and Great Britain, who probably did not have information about the invitation extended to Berisha.

On his part, however, even Berisha himself did not participate in the organized party, as he was afraid that he could be "humiliated" and would be isolated at the event, with no one talking to him.

But even without going, he caused the damage!

The official invitation of the Embassy of Kosovo was enough for him to destroy her party and cause Kosovo to be abandoned because of him.

Since it was announced non grata from the USA and Great Britain, Sali Berisha is not invited by any European Union or American embassy and does not participate in any of their activities.

Apparently, the political instructions of Minister Gërvalla and the Kurti Government, who want to do politics with Kosovo, managed to isolate it in the capital of Albania, Tirana, from the West, just because of one name: Sali Berisha.
