Daley Blind has joined Bayern Munich on a six-month contract.
The popular Dutch defender who adds quality and top-level experience to the Bundesliga champions.
Blind, who turns 33 in March, moves to Bayern after his contract with Ajax ended by mutual consent at the end of December.
He will provide coach Julian Nagelsmann with an additional defensive option following the injury suffered by Lucas Hernandez. The former Manchester United player will play alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Frenchman Dayot Upamecano at the heart of the Bavarians' back line.
Like Hernandez, Blind can also play on the left wing, ensuring he can also replace Alphonso Davies.
🎙️@BlindDaley: "I can hardly wait to play here. We've got the most important part of the season coming up, where it's about titles – and a club like Bayern can win every trophy. The hunger for titles here at the club was key in my decision." 🔴⚪️ pic.twitter.com/S1wZNfyCcs
