The footage of the accident that happened this morning in Tirana has been released, where 39-year-old Ajas Sulejmani is suspected to have hit a couple and their 3-month-old baby after running a red light.
He was detained in a private hospital and then escorted to the police.
According to the police, the person in question was punished eight other times earlier by the Traffic Police for various violations.

After intensive investigative work, it was possible to locate AS citizen in a private hospital, and then accompany him to the premises of Police Station No. 2 and his arrest. The driver of the vehicle with foreign license plates, the citizen with the initials AS, 39 years old, suspected of being the author who caused the accident with the pedestrians, on Kavaja Street, has been punished 8 times by the officers of the Tirana Regional Police Station, of which several times for violation of traffic signals, violation of traffic lights and failure to use a seat belt. Also, this citizen has been punished several times, with tire blocks, due to parking in violation of traffic rules on the streets of the capital.
This same citizen was escorted three weeks ago to the premises of the Tirana Regional Police Station, with this vehicle, for verification by the Illegal Traffic structures at the Tirana Local Police Directorate, and after it was verified, proceedings were taken for the violation of the provisions of the Road Code.
