EMA approves third dose for anti-covid vaccines

The European Medicines Agency EMA has approved the third dose of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine.

According to her, the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine can be given to people with weakened immune systems at least 28 days after their second dose.

The recommendation comes after studies showed that an extra dose of these vaccines increases the ability to produce antibodies against COVID-19.

Although there is no direct evidence that the ability to produce antibodies in these patients protects against COVID-19, it is expected that additional doses will increase protection in at least some patients. EMA will continue to monitor any emerging data on its effectiveness.
