A bomb explosion occurred in Kabul today, killing at least nine people.
Reuters The car bomb explosion targeted Afghan lawmaker Khan Mohammad Wardak. He survived the blast but was among 20 people injured.
Afghan Interior Minister Massoud Andarabi said that women and children were among the wounded.
No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
Afghanistan has seen a sharp increase in violence, especially bombings. In recent weeks, the Afghan government and the Taliban have been holding talks to find a solution to end the country's nearly 20-year war.
On Friday, another explosion killed 15 civilians, including 11 children.
