The leader of the Democratic Party held a meeting with the youth of Kukës.
As Basha writes regarding the meeting, one of the most serious problems facing Kukës and the country was discussed, namely the departure of the younger generation.
According to Basha, Prime Minister Rama closed the branch of the University of Tirana in the northern city, making it impossible for many young people to remain after going to university.
"The youth of Kukes has been forgotten for seven years by Edi Rama. During a conversation with young people from Kukes, we focused on one of the most serious problems of Kukes today, the departure of the younger generation. The economic situation, the inability to continue university studies and unemployment have forced many young people to leave the country. Rama betrayed the students of this region, closing the branch of the University of Tirana. Many of the young people cannot continue their higher education, as they are unable to afford the cost of studies and living in Tirana. It is inexcusable that these young people do not have the opportunity to get an education and get a job." - writes Basha.
The chief democrat further emphasizes that the area has everything to enable residents to have a better life as well as employment for young people, promising that the DP government will make this a top priority.
“This region has it all, the human, natural resources, infrastructure and energy to enable a good life for its inhabitants and to offer employment opportunities for young people. Albania is blessed with a wonderful youth, who shine anywhere in the world where they are given the opportunity to study or work. Our task is to create these opportunities for them in Albania. This is the main priority for me.” - added Basha.
Finally, Basha writes that his government will provide 10 internships for students and will invest in the labor market. The leader of the Democrat Party said that together with the youth, the DP will change the fate of the country.
"We will create for students the opportunity for 10 thousand 1-year internships paid by the state. We will invest in connecting education with the labor market and entrepreneurship. A special priority in the future government is financial support through fiscal incentives for youth entrepreneurship as well as businesses that offer jobs with dignified salaries for young people. Together with young people, we will change the fate of the country and turn Albania into a land of opportunities for every young Albanian man and woman."
