The Minister of Infrastructure has announced the resumption of regular flights from Rinas starting from June 22.
In the announcement, however, the destinations that will be determined by the Civil Authority in the following days are not yet given.
The Ministry announces that it is the responsibility of air operators to inform passengers about possible restrictions on departures from Rinas.

"Air operators operating to and from Tirana International Airport will be responsible for informing passengers of the possible restrictions in force for departures from TIA to the destination airport, as well as the requirements contained in the Transport Operation Protocol Air, as well as health care and safety rules at the destination airport.
Beyond the long-awaited news about the resumption of air flights, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, together with the Civil Aviation Authority, will take any necessary action to guarantee safe, efficient operations and, above all, the safety of the health of the employees of this sector and that of passengers.
In the framework of the initiatives for the revival of the civil aviation industry in Albania, after the difficulties resulting from the unprecedented situation of COVID-19, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy together with the Civil Aviation Authority is taking the necessary steps for the gradual resumption and safe air transport activity.
The priority of the activity in the context in question is the resumption of air transport in accordance with the preventive and protective rules of health safety, drawn up according to the recommendations and instructions of international civil aviation and public health organizations.
Understanding and supporting the desire and need of airlines that have scheduled regular international flights to and from Tirana International Airport, to start their activity as soon as possible, we would like to confirm that all efforts are being undertaken by the Albanian state authorities to enabling the resumption of flights in a coordinated and organized manner with the partner countries with which we implement Air Services Agreements.
Considering the statement of the European Commission dated June 11, 2020, according to which it is recommended, among other things, the lifting of travel restrictions for Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, starting from July 1, 2020 as and considering the commitments of several other countries of the Schengen Area to follow the same approach, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy announces that starting from June 22, 2020, actions will begin to operate regular international flights, to destinations, according to schedules that will be approved and communicated by the Civil Aviation Authority in the following.
During the week starting on June 22, 2020, for the activated schedules, airlines must take the necessary measures to enable the booking of flights to and from Tirana International Airport.
Airlines must make every preparation and have action plans ready for the implementation of the obligations provided for in the Air Transport Operation Protocol, approved by Order No. 169, dated June 5, 2020, of the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority will strictly monitor the implementation of these measures.
