Over the last 24 hours, 9 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in our country, bringing the total number of infected people to 998.
This is the result after 146 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. The new cases are: 4 in Tirana, 3 in Durrës and 1 in Shkodra.
The woman who passed away last night was suffering from brain lymphoma.
"We inform you about the situation. After more than 3 weeks without loss of life, last evening a 64-year-old woman from Tirana who was suffering from brain lymphoma passed away. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, unfortunately the 64-year-old woman could not survive." – said Dr. Marjeta Dervishi, from the Institute of Public Health.
There are 177 in total in the country.

After more than 3 weeks without a death from COVID-19, a 64-year-old woman from Tirana, who was suffering from brain lymphoma, passed away last night. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, unfortunately the 64-year-old woman did not survive.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 32 citizens have lost the battle with COVID19.
Despite the fact that there have been patients who have left the infectious disease hospital cured, 15 patients are currently being treated, while 4 of them are in intensive care.
Over the last 24 hours, 146 citizens have been tested as suspected COVID-19 cases and 9 cases have been confirmed positive.
The geographical distribution of the cases is as follows: 5 cases in Tirana, 3 in Durrës and 1 in Shkodër. 6 citizens have recovered.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 14 molecular and serological tests have been performed.
To date, 19 citizens have been confirmed positive for COVID-998 throughout the country. Of them, about 79% are cured.
In our country, there are currently 177 active people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Durrës Krujë, Shkodër.
