The number of infected in the country reaches 663

29 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 24 hours in the country, bringing the total number of infected people to 663.

Although it has been repeatedly said that the pandemic curve is flattening, in recent days there has actually only been an increase. Recall that yesterday there were 25 new cases.

As can be seen in the updated table below, 7 positive cases are in Kruja, 2 cases in Shkodra and the rest in Tirana (20).

And in the capital, there is a new dangerous hotbed of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the one in prison '313'.

As Dr. Rovena Daja from the IHP reported, 13 people have been infected in this institution.

"Of the new cases in the last 24 hours, 20 are in Tirana, of which 13 belong to a hotbed in a prison institution, where the epidemiological investigation is continuing, after the discovery of the first case. 7 positive cases are in Kruja and 2 cases in Shkodra.
"Although there is an increase in the number of cases today, they are localized in two outbreaks that are being monitored and followed very closely by epidemiologists in the field." – said Mrs. Daja.

Meanwhile, Kruja also appears problematic, due to tailoring shops that have caused a major debate among politicians, with the opposition demanding their closure. And today, authorities have closed 21 tailoring shops in this city.
