The number of victims in Kosovo due to the coronavirus has increased. An elderly man passed away this evening, bringing the total number of victims to 7.
The news was announced by the Ministry of Health through a statement.
"At the Infectious Diseases Clinic of KKUK tonight in the evening hours, in the Intensive Care Unit of this clinic, patient ZI, born in 1948 from the municipality of Gjilan, diagnosed with COVID 19, died. The patient was admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic with on 31.03.2020 in a serious condition and had other accompanying diseases", the announcement states.
The COVID-19 virus, since March 13, when it appeared for the first time in Kosovo, has infected 224 people, 37 of those infected have recovered and 7 have lost their lives.
The municipality with the most cases is Malisheva, where 66 people have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 so far.
