A 35-year-old man has been arrested at the port of Durres after being caught with heroin in his car. The Renault vehicle was scanned, where a package weighing approximately 500 grams of heroin was detected inside.
POLICE DETAILS
The Durrës Border Police Services, in implementation of the tasks defined in the Plan of Measures for increasing control in order to prevent, detect and combat narcotics trafficking, have hit another case of attempted narcotics trafficking.
After the risk analysis, the control in the second line, at the vehicle control point, using the anti-drug dog, the Border Police services have scanned the Renault type vehicle, driven by a NK citizen, and after scanning the vehicle, its interior a package was spotted, suspected of having narcotics.
The Border Police immediately notified the investigative group and the Narcotics Investigation Specialists at the Durrës Police Department.
During a thorough search of the vehicle, the Police found and seized as material evidence 1 package, weighing approximately 500 grams, containing narcotics, suspected to be heroin.
At the conclusion of the actions, the Narcotics Investigation Specialists at the Durrës Local Police Directorate arrested citizen NK, 35 years old, resident of Durrës, in flagrante delicto.
The investigative materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Durrës, for further action, for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics".
