The Democratic Party has denounced the prosecution's pressure on prosecutors in the case related to the investigation against the leader of the Democratic Party, Basha.
In a statement to the media, Secretary General Bardhi said that on the orders of Edi Rama, the head of the Tirana prosecution office, Elisabeta Imeraj, is exerting pressure on prosecutors.
According to Bardhi, all this is done to divert attention from the Bild wiretaps that are expected to be published today. Bardhi emphasized that nothing will save Prime Minister Rama, not even the justice he has been deprived of.
"On the orders of Edi Rama, the head of the Prosecution Office, Elisabeta Imeraj, is exerting illegal pressure to arrest the opposition leader.
By direct order of Edi Rama, the head of the Tirana Prosecution Office, Elisabeta Imeraj, in flagrant violation of the law, is exerting illegal pressure on the prosecutors in the case for the forcible escort and arrest of the opposition leader, although the opposition leader has confirmed his willingness to appear at the prosecution as soon as the latter implements the law to summon him.
This criminal pressure through the illegal orders of the arrested prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj is being exerted on the direct orders of Edi Rama with the aim of diverting attention from the new wiretaps that the German newspaper BILD has announced it will publish today.
The Democratic Party warns Prosecutor Imeraj and her boss Edi Rama that this criminal scenario will fail and they will be directly responsible for this unprecedented criminal act of violating the law and provocation against the opposition.
"The suicide bomber Imeraj will not be able to save Edi Rama. Nothing can save Edi Rama. Not even the justice he has seized." – Bardhi said in his statement.
