Icardi wants to sue Inter

According to Italian daily La Repubblica, Mauro Icardi is preparing legal action to terminate his contract with Inter because he feels mistreated at work.

The Argentine striker has been announced as no longer part of Inter's plans for next season and new coach Antonio Conte does not want him in pre-season training.

So far Icardi has rejected a large number of offers from several different big European clubs and insists he wants to stay at Inter, or move to Juventus.

La Repubblica newspaper suggests that Icardi and his agent and wife, Wanda Nara, are preparing to take the Italian club to court.

He will accuse the club of attempting to force him to leave his job through mistreatment, isolation and intimidation.

If Icardi is forced to train separately from the rest of the group, he could win this lawsuit. This is what Goran Pandev did when he sued Lazio for prematurely terminating his contract.

This would allow Icardi to leave the club on a free transfer immediately, despite his contract at San Siro running until June 2021.

All the problems started when Icardi was stripped of the captaincy for reasons that still remain unclear. This moment will serve as the moment when the club began to mistreat him.

On the other hand, the club could argue that Icardi had refused to train with the rest of the black and blue squad. Icardi claimed he could not train due to a knee injury, but medical tests revealed that the injury was minimal.
