In his fifth letter, addressed to the leader of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha, Prime Minister Edi Rama gave an interesting message regarding the stance that, according to him, the leader of the democrats should have with "German friends".
After reminding Basha that it had been a few months since "was going around...hitting Albania internationally and raising big questions among European friends regarding the opening of negotiations with the European Union...", Rama, who could well bear the title of "prime minister of letters", publicly addresses the leader of the democrats with detailed advice.
"And by the way, those German friends of Albania in your sister party, do well to listen to them when they suggest unconditional dialogue, and not to abuse them publicly to distort the world, speculating with their completely friendly opinions! Because it's not for nothing that the day has come when the 61 candidates and thousands of advisors of the Socialist Party will be in Tirana, to ring the gong of the race towards June 30th, and then there will be no friend left in the world to waste time even on friendly opinions.", Rama suggests Basha.
Who is Edi Rama talking about and why is an opposition leader like Basha, who according to Rama cannot be removed from power, suddenly so powerful that he has become "Albania's international hitman"?
What have the Germans (MPs, politicians) said against Albania and against the government, that has changed the smile of Rama, who did not part so well with them at the Berlin Summit, from where he fled while carrying the weight of refusing to change the borders of Kosovo?!
If you carefully follow the media in Albania, you are impressed by the haste of "Top Channel" to get a telephone interview with Nicolas Lobel, a CDU/CSU MP, ensuring that the chronicle began with the explanation: "The statement two days ago by the two deputies of the German parliament, Schmid and Wadephul, was interpreted as a message to postpone the elections."
""No. There should be no discussion about when the elections are held or not. We as Germany have a single goal. We only want to help Albania towards the EU. For us, the continuation of the justice reform, including the electoral reform, is important. But I think that everything depends on what is said in the constitution of your country. The constitution is the best mechanism that a democracy can have in Germany, in France, in Albania, and everywhere. So this issue remains in what the constitution says. If you want to take responsibility for the future of Albania, you must find a solution through democratic parliamentary channels and participate in the electoral campaign. It is up to each party, as my colleagues have said, to find the path of negotiations without any preconditions from both the government and the opposition," was his answer," TCH interprets the interview given by Lobel, which was published in almost all media close to the government.
But this interview was published immediately after a development, also among German politicians.
Chancellor Merkel's advisor, Martin Henze of the CDU, praised President Ilir Meta through a reaction on Twitter, calling him ""A true man and democrat in the Balkans", because Meta had undertaken to review election day in Albania.

According to TCH: "This statement by MP Lobel is completely different from the claim of the President of the Republic. Not only the German government, but also the CDU itself does not have any official line on the possibility of postponing the elections."
But what have Shchmid and Wadephul stated?
The summary of their statement is more or less this: “"Elections without the problematic opposition, dialogue and the possibility of postponing the elections should be considered."
Two German MPs, Johann David Wadephul, who is deputy chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German parliament and simultaneously head of the Western Balkans working group, and Christian Schmidt of the CSU and rapporteur for Albania in the Foreign Affairs Committee and former federal minister, have openly expressed concern about the difficult situation in which Albania finds itself.

"We are observing with great concern the internal crisis in Albania. For Albania's European future, dialogue between the government and the opposition is needed. For this, both sides must come closer to each other and be ready for compromises."
The repeated protests in Albania are a sign of the dissatisfaction of many citizens… It is the responsibility of political decision-makers to behave reasonably in this situation and to try with all their might to calm the situation. If this does not happen, there is a risk that the country's path to Europe will be closed…”, they declared,
"German friends" said they are ready to contribute to opening a dialogue between the government and the opposition, identifying that there is a crisis, even suggesting that local elections could be postponed. Dialogue without conditions, they said, precisely this advice that Rama likes to repeat.
As can be seen, it is precisely the reactivation of those whom Rama calls "German friends" who are seeing the situation in Albania as problematic, dusting off the strategy "Nothing has happened here, one opposition emerged but another has entered, the protests are spreading", which the majority has used under the guidance of the leader. /VG-Hashtag.al
