The verdict is handed down for the accused in the murder of the young man killed three years ago in Tirana, Marvi Mihalit. It is learned that the Court has decided that Devis Bitraj will be sentenced to 19 years in prison, while the other accused Eugen Bitraj, Marsel Alla and Kridesn Alla will be sentenced to XNUMX years in prison.
The last three, Eugen Bitraj, Marsel Alla and Credence Alla, had asked the court to declare them not guilty. Meanwhile, Dejvi Bitraj had admitted to the murder and had requested a change in the qualification from "premeditated murder" to "murder in excess of necessary defense."
Considering the years of sentence imposed for a murder, it appears that Bitri's request has been taken into consideration by the Court.
Marvi Mihali's parents have appealed the court's decision.
"These judges removed premeditation from the criminal offense and left only murder in intentional collaboration and they don't care about my son who died. Let the judges experience my dark fate first. That's all I have to say. Let them experience my dark fate on their children," said Marvi Mihali's mother.
While the father threatened to impose justice himself: "Shame on Sokol Toma, Tan Gjermeni and Besnik Hoxha. My son's curse was followed, you scum. How do they change the qualification of the crime when the facts are clear. What is this justice?! The injustice of the judges today moved the plate of my son, but we will follow it at all costs, I will establish justice by all means. 19 years of Devi Bitrajt who killed me, shame and black face".
This legal process has previously been accompanied by debate, as Dejvi Bitraj's father stated that they had demanded a considerable amount of money for their son's death, while the victim's family members have denied these statements.
Marvi Mihali was killed on July 31, 2017 in the area of the Selman Stermasi stadium. Among the conflicting young people, there was a banal argument about a phone charger between 19-year-old Dejvi Bitraj and Marvi Mihali (the victim) and the latter's cousin.
From the statements, it is learned that Marv's cousin had bought a phone from Dave and the latter had not given him the charger.
Then Dejvi Bitraj called for help from his cousin Eugen Bitraj, 24, who went with 3 other friends. After they beat Marvin in the alley in front of the bar, one of them stabbed him in the heart, severing his aorta. Marvin Mihali died a few minutes later in the hospital.
