Tension on the Boulevard, Vokshi: The police are using violence against women

Former Democratic Party MP Albana Vokshi has stated that the police are not allowing citizens to protest. She denounced the police for the violence they are exercising against women participating in the protest.

"We will protest everywhere. The illegitimate parliament is today surrounded on all sides by citizens. The police are not allowing citizens to exercise their right to protest. We have received permission for the protest. We denounce the violence that the police are exercising against women protesters." - said Vokshi.

The pedestrian zone is closed to citizens and former MPs, as well as other areas around the parliament.

Around 1300 police forces have been deployed today for the united opposition protest.

The united opposition is holding its next protest in front of parliament today, as has happened before every plenary session.

Today, the swearing-in of two candidates from the Democratic Party list, who have accepted the mandate of MP, Arben Zeneli and Adriatik Alimadhi, is expected.
