
Manchester United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager, signing a 3-year contract with the Norwegian technician.
Solskjaer, 46, came in to take charge of the team he played for years ago on an interim basis following the sacking of Portuguese Mourinho in December.
But under his leadership the team has convinced by returning to the competition for one of the first four places and has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Solskjaer took the team in the worst possible state in recent years but managed to quell the differences in the club and get the best out of the players and this is what the results achieved by Manchester United speak for.
In April, the English team will face Barcelona in the Champions League and the signing of Solskjaer increases even more the confidence of the technician and the players for the continuation.
In the Premier League, United is 3 points away from the third place and is expected to be in the race until the last week to achieve this objective.
