The Minister of Finance, Arben Ahmetaj, has stated today that the free professions that have received a license as natural persons, or businesses in this status, will be included in a scheme for non-avoidance of personal income tax.
Ahmetaj made this statement during the presentation of the fiscal package to the Economy Committee. "Of the employees, there have been natural persons who avoided 23%. There is a class of intellectuals that we will discuss in detail who have an income of 2 million euros and have benefited from the logic of zero taxation of natural persons. You know that there are companies with an income of 2 million euros and they do not pay a single lek, and we will correct this now", said Minister Ahmetaj.
This includes the services provided by lawyers, financiers, doctors, engineers and dozens of other professions, which can obtain a license to provide services.
