Former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri, who has been under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office for a year for his involvement in the connection with drug traffickers in the case known as "Habilaj".
Asked in the studio of the show "Opinion" about the three police leaders who are on the run due to an investigation by the Prosecution as being involved in drug trafficking after wiretapping by Italian authorities as being linked to the "Habilaj" gang, Tahiri says that he only knows one of them, namely Jaeld Çela.
The former Minister of Interior believes that Jaeld Çela, former head of the Vlora District Police, is innocent.
"For these three, I have put the former district director, while I do not know these two at all. I demand that no one should evade justice. I believe that he is innocent. I am telling you that he worked with me like many other collaborators, but I believe that he is innocent. If the opposite happens, he has abused my trust and the prosecution should investigate. As far as I know, I am the only case that is being investigated by 7 prosecutors, but I tell you, make it 70 prosecutors but just give justice."- said Tahiri.
