Prince Albert II of Monaco was decorated today by President Ilir Meta with the "National Flag" decoration and in his speech after receiving the honorary award, he expressed his gratitude that illustrates the memorandum between the two countries.
"This honorary award recognizes, as you have underlined in your decree, the intensification of the existing relations between our countries, which was mainly illustrated by the signing today of a memorandum of understanding."
Prince Albert II, during his speech, emphasizes that cooperation in various fields between the two countries can recognize fruitful developments between the two communities.
"I am convinced that the entirety of the areas of cooperation mentioned to you, Mr. President, will be able to recognize fruitful developments that our two communities have the ability to achieve."

Mr. President, Ministers, Your Excellencies, Dear Friends, Allow me to express my most sincere thanks for the honor you have bestowed upon me with the "National Flag" Decoration.
This honorary recognition recognizes, as you have underlined in your decree, the intensification of the existing relations between our countries, which was mainly illustrated by the signing today of a memorandum of understanding.
You have also emphasized that this title highlights the actions that we must undertake together to preserve biodiversity in the Mediterranean and more specifically in the marine areas of the Albanian coast. This ambition was concretized by the signing of a partnership with the NGO “Pisha flamur”.
I am convinced that the entirety of the areas of cooperation mentioned to you, Mr. President, will be able to recognize fruitful developments that our two communities have the ability to achieve.
Finally, I rejoice in the prospect of Albania's accession to CIESM, this international organization that more than ever shows us its usefulness in safeguarding our common good.
This Mediterranean Sea, the cradle of humanity, must be the object of all our attention because it is the guarantor of our future and seals the common destiny of all the countries that border it. I express my hope that this common heritage will be a vector of peace and mutual understanding in the years and decades to come. Thank you!
